All real estate websites we host have their own IP Address. This is very important when it comes to ranking your website!

Where a lot of other hosting providers don't - They use a name server with their own domain name (eg: hosting.com.au) pointing to their own IP Address which hosts the server. This server in turn holds all of the websites they host, with all of the websites domain names pointing at their server & their domain name. Then when a customer searches for a site with a specific domain name (eg: joeblogrealestate.com.au) the server shows only the website that this domain name is attached to within the server - Joe Blog Real Estate.

Therefore, when the search engines look at ranking the sites hosted by a name server hosting service, they rank the name server domain name (eg: hosting.com.au), NOT YOURS!  Because, all the traffic from each website they host is lifting their own domain name ranking (eg: hosting.com.au).

Where if you have your own IP Address, when the search engines look at ranking you, they look at the IP address which is yours & yours alone. Thus ranking YOUR WEBSITE!  

On average 15% of internet users type the town/suburb straight into the address line to see who is in the town - this is 15% of extra business plus a huge percentage through all the search engines because the right domain name makes you rank on the first page with all search engines by using a town / suburb domain name - some agents have tripled there customers by using this method on a dedicated IP address you get 1000's of combinations. When you are not on a dedicated IP address you only get a few specific pre programmed searches with the search engines.
